Way back in January 1971 when Pujya Ravishankar Maharaj (The great social worker) and then Governor of Gujarat Late Shri Shrimann Narayan visited Civil Hospital, Asarva, Ahmedabad, they found hundreds of people sleeping in open sky and shivering in cold. Pujya Maharaj asked about them and was explained that those people are relatives/attendants of patients admitted in Civil Hospital. He was pained to think that out of these shivering poor people many may be required to be admitted in hospital next day. He asked accompanying philanthropic Governor to create some residential facilities for these poor & needy people. Responding to the desire of these Great Saint he released land just opposite Civil Hospital, Asarva and requested equally philanthropic person Late Shri Ashokbhai K.
